A project of our environment

Hello again! During the last month we have done a big project of our environment. Language, Science, Maths and English have been connected to work on the environment of Cártama.

In English, our students of 3rd and 4th classes have prepared a Lapbook of the animals of Cártama. They are fantastic!! Do you want to have a look?

High School's students visit!

Our students from the sixth classes received last Friday classmates from the high school called "I.E.S. Jarifa". The students came to our school to exchange information about the high school. Students from the second level of the high school explained our students aspects related to mediating problems. Students from the first level of the high school showed them their support for next year.

After these small meeting, the same students prepared physical activities which were carried out in our playground. We really had fun!!

Finally, our school prepared a little snack for the students and the teachers who visited us. It was a fantastic morning in which we had fun and met new people and friends.

Saint Valentine's at our school!!

The weeks before having holidays, the school worked on St. Valentine's throughout plants!! We learnt a lot!!

Every class worked on different characteristics of the plants in all the subjects. In Spanish they discovered new words related to plants or they wrote a dictation about plants. In Maths they calculated the parts of a garden by using sections, they measured their own plants they planted in Science or they resolved plant problems with divisions. In Science they studied the parts of a plant, they planted seeds or studied the Water Cycle. In Music they sang a song about plants. In English they prepared some friend's descriptions and wrote St. Valentine's cards for their friends, teachers or families. Finally, in Art they prepared a final proyect related to their topic.

We really had fun learning about plants in a different way!!
